Our presentations are meant to educate manufacturers about the security benefits of using an appliance with dedicated firmware versus accepted PC and OPC based solutions. Our MES gateway appliance solves the organizational conflicts (machine availability vs network security) that arise from putting a PC on the factory floor. All three stakeholders of data exchange: controls engineers, manufacturing process management, and IT, benefit from the separation of the OT and IT networks when using the Data Commander to exchange data.
